This is my first What I Wore post and I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy.
I have a long way to go if I ever wanted to be a fashion blogger (which I don't). I will apparently need a photographer and/or a BIG ol' vertical mirror somewhere in my home or other place that I frequent. I don't have either, though, so these are really just snapshots along the way!
My two main summer outfits are workout shorts and a bathing suit. I told you about these great Target shorts and they remain my favorite.
I always get my swimsuits from Academy. They have the most mom friendly suits I have found. The bottoms I'm wearing are actually swim shorts. Just WONDERFUL for not pulling and tugging all the live long day. Am I right ladies??
I have essentially the same suit in two variations. I try to add a new suit each year (I haven't this year, yet) and get coordinating colors so I can mix and match.
Casual days are looking like this: Tee shirt and shorts! Mix and Match Mama suggested these T-shirts and I love them. They are super soft and have a very cool not-a-v-but-not-a-scoop neckline.
My shorts are from last year at Gap. These are the most similar I found on the website.
To complete the look, my sister got me this necklace at Nordstrom Rack. Isn't she sweet?? I love it!
Another casual look for me is skirts. This one is from Old Navy. I don't see my exact skirt on the website but they have many similar there.
Dressed up looks lately include my new (to me) white pants. I have never worn white pants before this year and they really do feel light and summery. I didn't know what I was missing!
I also added a maxi dress.
Another thing I discovered this year was the world of petite clothing. I'm 5'4" but, it turns out, in several areas the petite option is better for me. This is from Old Navy. Unfortunately, at Old Navy you do have to shop online for the petite items. But, in some cases it's worth it!
That's what I have been wearing lately. Just a note, none of these are affiliate links. I'm just sharing where I got what I love. See you next time!
